Maintenance & Repair Options

Set Up $55.00

(plus cost of new strings if needed)

Unlock the potential of your Guitar or Bass with a Comprehensive Set Up. I’ll make sure your instrument plays it’s best by checking and adjusting neck straightness, checking and adjusting bridge and nut height, and I’ll make sure all electronics are functioning correctly. Top it off with a fret polishing for a smooth feel and a thorough cleaning of both neck and body to make it look as good as it plays.

Quick Turn Around Restring $20.00

(Bring your own strings)

Sharp Fret End Fix $ 40.00

If your fret ends are sharp to the touch, I can fix that. Guitars without neck binding can play just as smooth as guitars with bound necks. I’ll get those sharp fret ends blended right into the fret board for a smooth feel on all frets.

Fret Leveling & Re-Crowning $85.00

(plus cost of new strings if needed)

Get rid of string buzzing due to low or high frets with a fret leveling. After neck is straight and frets have been leveled, the fret will be re-crowned and polished. A Comprehensive Set Up is included with this service.

Pickup Installation & Electronic Mods $40.00

I’ll install and wire Pickups of your choice to upgrade your instrument or modify existing guitar wiring with options you may prefer.

I have been playing guitar since I was 8 years old. Acoustic at first but when I was 9 I got my first electric guitar. It was a no name and I didn’t even know I needed an amplifier but it was cool and I was hooked. Eventually my parents got me a nice Gibson ES34OTD which I started customizing right away. New tuners, new pickups, a stop tailpiece, most of the work I did myself. I still have that guitar. It survived everything I did to it even when I didn’t know what I was doing. In the late 80's my job was to set up and quality check all Fernandez guitars before they left the warehouse. My dream job to have my hands on all those guitars. My amplifiers are vintage Fender tube amps salvaged from garbage of Sam Ash Music where I also worked back in the 80's. I repaired them and use them on gigs to this day. Whether working with electronics or guitars I always strive to bring them back to stock or improve what is offered as stock. All that experimentation has served and taught me well. I know what to do and what not to do to get the most out of any guitar or bass. I treat everyone’s instrument as if it were my own and give it all my attention so it can be the instrument you always wanted it to be.

I look forward to hearing your musical story and help you determine what repair/maintentance/modifications are best suited to you and your instrument.
